Any school
child can direct you to our city's featured attraction:
the stone cairn that marks the Geographical Center
of North America. (The location was established
in January 1931 by a U.S. Geological Survey.) The
cairn was completed in August 1932 by W. B. Paterson
and E. B. Paterson with assistance from the local
Boy Scout and other community volunteers. The local
Lions Club donated the construction materials and
a landmark was born.

on the 2000 census Rugby's population is 2,929 residents.
